Program Manager - Electric Vehicles - Charlotte, NC
Company Overview
The Marmon HDT Research and Development Group works with the various business units of the Marmon Heavy Duty Transportation Group serving the heavy-duty commercial vehicle market. R&D engineers take a hands-on approach to existing and new product development from identifying the voice of the customer and ideation through design implementation and validation. Current emphasis is on developing emerging vehicle technologies including electrification and autonomous vehicles.
Position Summary
This program manager position will coordinate and manage cross-functional activities to successfully complete electric vehicle integrations.
Formulate, organize and monitor projects to achieve objectives.
Determine and monitor assigned action items to ensure project deliverables.
Monitor tasks and resolve roadblocks to meet timelines and goals.
Develop and control deadlines and project budgets.
Interface with customers to determine key project items and to communicate project status.
Apply change, risk, and resource management.
Assess program performance in relation to agreed-upon deliverables.
Prepare project documentation.
Communicate with team members and management to ensure project deliverables are met.
Resolve projects’ higher scope issues.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position.
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
Knowledge of change management principles.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software.
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
BS/BA in relevant field.
Work Environment
· Hybrid work schedule supported with a home office in Charlotte, NC
· Position will be based at, and work with, Fontaine Modification Company.
Experience
· 5+ years professional experience preferred
