Fontaine’s HR Generalist works in the Charlotte headquarters and aids business units, locations, or corporate functional areas with all HR issues. These activities include recruiting, selection and staffing, employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits.
The HR Generalist will report to Fontaine’s Controller. Among the responsibilities are:
Manages Fontaine and Marmon HR record systems input and maintenance.
Performs Employee Record maintenance to ensure accuracy and confidentially.
Maintains employee benefits by ensuring accurate enrollments and life event changes.
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
Compiles data from HRIS and prepares reports.
Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.
Handles IT needs/requests for current employees and new hires.
Responsible for all onboarding activities for new hires.
Handles recruiting activities such as job postings, resume reviews, and interview schedules.
Handles all new hire orientations to include safety training.
Completes & reviews all background checks and e-verify (I9) documentation.
Makes all new and replacement employee, contractor, vendor, and visitor badges.
Assists with computing wages and recording data for use in payroll processing.
Provides FMLA, STD, LTD & ADA administration, and tracking, including benefit payback monitoring.
Completes requested assignments with limited direction or supervision.
Assists with company communications, HR policies/procedures, & training as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HR, or equivalent work experience
Coach and mentor for all levels in the company on HR matters
Prior HR management experience will be given strong consideration
Decisive, self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
High level of integrity and work ethic
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Quick learner of new systems
