Utility companies and steel haulers often need to carry large items, like utility poles, to locations where tractor and trailers have trouble going. As a solution to this problem we narrowed the cab of a Peterbilt 365 6x6 truck by 18.5 inches, taking it from 72.5 inches wide down to 54 inches wide.
One of the most important aspects of the modification was our ability to narrow the cab while maintaining the factory aesthetics particularly in the interior driver environment. The design also provides a unique door in the back of the cab that allows the driver to exit the cab when cargo is loaded on the sides.
Our raised roof modifications on work trucks provide head clearance and walk thru access from the cab into the truck body for a wide variety of applications (emergency vehicles, mining, etc.).
Our design maintains the structural integrity of the cab while achieving the original factory aesthetics.
Our modification centers are strategically located near leading car and truck manufacturing facilities, supporting ultimate customer convenience and smooth ship-thru arrangements, especially when conversions are performed on brand new vehicles.
Our roll-up door modification allows quick access to the cab interior through a roll-up door installed in the extended cab section of the truck. The inset frame allows the door to be installed without any alterations to prevent damaging the truck or roll-up door frame. The applications for this modification include Emergency, Utility, and Towing / Vehicle Rescue.
